Canadian Wine Tastings in Toronto
A Wine Tasting That Feels Like Dinner at a Friend's House (Who Happens to Know a Lot About Wine)
Forget stuffy tasting rooms.
Forget memorizing tasting notes.
Forget pretending you smell “wet river stones.”
This is Canadian wine the way it should be experienced — around a table, with good people, great conversation, incredible cheese, and the occasional interruption from my very opinionated dog, Dottie.

Welcome to My Home
Every tasting takes place in my Toronto home, unless you’d prefer I come to you, or need a venue for a larger group.
You sit at my table. We open bottles together. We talk, taste, compare, laugh, and figure out what you actually like — without any of the performance that usually comes with wine.
The wines are all Canadian.
From:
-Ontario (Niagara, Prince Edward County)
-British Columbia
-Nova Scotia
-Quebec (select producers)
Canada is making some of the most interesting wine in the world right now. Most people just haven’t been introduced properly.
That’s what this is.

Wine Without the Performance
I'm a Canadian wine writer and sommelier, but this isn't a lecture.
You won't be tested.
You don't need to know anything before you arrive.
Ask questions. Disagree with me. Tell me what you actually like.
The best wine conversations are honest ones.
Some bottles surprise people.
Some challenge them.
Some become instant favourites.
The point isn't to impress anyone. It's to discover something new together.
What You'll Taste
Every tasting is curated around exceptional Canadian wines that are difficult to find, limited in production, or simply overlooked.
Depending on the experience, you may taste:
-Tiny winery releases you won't find at your local store.
-Wines from exciting new Canadian producers.
-Benchmark bottles from some of the country's most respected wineries.
-Unexpected grapes and styles that showcase how diverse Canadian wine has become.
No two tastings are exactly the same.
Cheese, Charcuterie & Good Company
Wine is always better with food.
Every experience includes a generous spread of premium cheeses and charcuterie sourced from local artisans and farms, chosen to complement the wines.
Meet Dottie
Dottie takes her hosting responsibilities very seriously.
She will greet you at the door.
She will quietly supervise from under the table.
She will politely request a scratch behind the ears.
She's become an unofficial part of the experience and usually steals the show.
Who These Tastings Are For
These tastings are perfect if you:
-Love wine but don't love wine snobbery.
-Want to discover Canadian wines you've never seen before.
-Are celebrating a birthday, anniversary or special occasion.
-Want a unique date night or evening with friends.
-Simply enjoy great conversation over a really good bottle.
Whether you're completely new to wine or already have a cellar at home, you'll leave having discovered something worth talking about.
Come Over.
If you've been looking for a wine tasting that feels personal instead of polished, you've found it.
We'll open great Canadian wine.
We'll eat well.
We'll laugh.
Dottie will make your acqaintance.
And hopefully you'll leave wondering why nobody told you Canadian wine could be this good.
