THE WINES
2025 Primo Mio Marsanne
A distinctive expression of Marsanne from one of Niagara’s most exciting small-production projects. We’ll talk about the variety, the vineyard, Corey’s approach to winemaking and why Marsanne deserves considerably more attention in Canada.
2025 Sante Chardonnay
Corey’s take on one of Niagara’s defining varieties. We’ll taste it together while digging into Chardonnay, winemaking decisions, site and what makes Ontario particularly suited to the grape.
2026 Juice Pig — PRE-RELEASE
The inaugural vintage of a brand-new wine made by Corey Mio + Laura Batten.
Juice Pig started with a simple idea: make something delicious, irreverent and completely devoid of the preciousness that can make wine feel more complicated than it needs to be.
This is its first release — and the people joining this tasting will be among the very first to drink it.

MEET COREY MIO
Corey Mio is the winemaker behind Sempre Mio, a small-production Niagara wine project built around thoughtful winemaking and wines with personality.
On November 23, Corey joins Laura live to take us behind the scenes of Sempre Mio — from vineyard and cellar decisions to the realities of making wine in Ontario — before the two unveil their first collaborative wine together.
MEET LAURA BATTEN
Laura Batten is a Canadian wine expert, Certified Sommelier and founder of CRUSHABLE. After two decades working in Canadian wine, she has built CRUSHABLE around a simple premise: Canadian wine deserves to be talked about with more curiosity, more personality and considerably less bullshit.
And apparently, the logical next step was making some.
